For extra credit (up to 5% on your total exam score), you may create a video presentation on a topic relevant to the class.
All the lectures and assignments are in the link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1kc2yj2-qpQAdSjFd…
- Research a topic relevant to the course and communicate your findings in a 5-10 minute video. The main objectives are to communicate clear and accurate information in an engaging manner to an audience of your peers.
- I just ask that you do your topic on something other than covid-19. I don’t mind if you mention it or make connections to it, but please don’t do an entire video on it. Thanks!
- Style: There are no restrictions on the style (other than not to put yourself in a dangerous situation, record people without their permission, or plagiarize/use copyrighted content). You may use a narrated slide show, a recorded lecture, a digital whiteboard, a stop motion animation (Claymation), a sock puppet show, animated graphics, a scripted scene, filmed artist drawings on paper, a documentary style video, etc.
- References: All artifacts (sources, images, videos, music, sound effect, etc.) used in the video which you did not create yourself must be cited at the end. You do not need to use a complete reference; simply include a brief description of the item and a web address where the item was found (e.g., Costa Rica picture: https://www.nationalgeographic.com/ (Links to an external site.))
Video Quality: 5-10 minutes in length, sound is clear, relevant visuals
Content: Accurate, academically rigorous, engaging, connections made to the course
Completeness: Adheres to guidelines, sources cited
