Attached is the solution for this case study, please revise it as per the comments below and add real life examples (even if did not happen for real).
I noticed the following: Team retreat…. coaching and C-suite….. one-on-one meetings.
The CEO need coaching in conflict management.
need to do daily morning meeting and listen to the both side….. he doesn’t know what exactly going on between them… they both say something.
in the daily meeting the CEO need to take command …. like ordering release of samples , accelerate the rollout or customer onboarding.
in Crises, the CEO need to micro-manage until things settle down
that’s all part of the coaching program????
Team retreat similar to social gatherings….barbecue nights, playing sports, success parties, should be executed
u need to mention the examples.
C-Suite….. it will be resisted… but he can increase corporate level bonus weight incrementally and reduce the functional and divisional level weight….. like 10% then 15% till 20%…. he may not need to go beyond 10% if there is a significant improvement. that will force the executives to work together.
building personal relationship wit the team… I think the CEO lack the social skills…. he choose to retreat whenever there is a conflict..
why we need to do that, because we see delays in customer onboarding…etc mention them
it is normal managers don’t interfere unless perforemance is impacted, but it is starting to get impacted and he needs to do something.
After a year….. if it doesn’t work, collect all the missed opportunities and evaluate the monetary loss. If the amount is substantial…. start looking for new CFO and Head of sales ….. may go to busienss process re-engineering to improve the company effeciency…..in other words restructuring
