• Correct way to identify a standard: CCSS.Math.K.CCA.1 Count to 100 by ones and by tens
• Incorrect way to identify a standard: Students count to 100 by ones and tens
• Math Activity – Describe in detail each of your three math activities.
• Real World Application – How does your math activity apply in the real world? For example, you might have students sorting items by color. This could apply in their real world by helping their family members sort socks by color while doing laundry.
• Manipulative’s and Resources – Describe in detail what manipulative’s and resources needed for each activity.
• Differentiation Strategies – You must include differentiation strategies for each activity. When thinking about differentiation, keep in mind that you need to address the needs of your students that might be struggling as well as the needs of your students who already meet the standard and need to be extended.
• Formal and Informal Assessment Strategies – You must include at least one informal (formative assessment) and one formal (summative assessment) assessment strategies for each activity. Remember – Informal (formative) assessments are used to guide your teaching practice and are done throughout the course of your lesson/unit. Formal (summative) assessments are used to assess overall learning of the student.
